Camp Service

This Sunday, July 20th we are going to have a camp service.  We won't take the whole morning service.  We will share the awesome experiences we had while at Jonathan Creek.

If you attended camp you should remember when I asked you guys to think of something where God is "greater than".  Be prepared to share in a couple of words (1-5 words) a way that God is greater than something you are struggling with.  You will share it with the church on Sunday morning.  It won't be long so don't worry if you get nervous.

Make sure you wear your camp shirt on Sunday morning!

Tons of things for you to do!

July 16th - Lake Cleanup Day - We are once again going to be cleaning up the lake.  Our goal is to cut down more brush and remove a good portion of the duckweed.  We will be working from 4-8pm.  Dinner will be provided.  We'll also have a message as well.  Meet at the Lighthouse!  If you can't come until later, NO PROBLEM!  Wear long pants and close toed shoes!  Adults are welcomed and encouraged to attend.

July 23rd - Neighborhood Day - We are going to be canvasing a the Hartland Neighborhood.  We will be passing out information of an upcoming Park and Kickball event we will be holding there the next week.  We'll be handing out flyers, putting up signs, and letting as many people know about the event as possible.  This will be from 6-8pm.  I NEED ADULTS TO HEAD THIS UP!  I will taking our children's ministry to Cedarmore Kid's Camp that day so I will not be able to lead this.  You can meet at my house at 5:45pm.

July 30th - Park and Kickball Day - As many of you may remember, we've attempted this before but the weather did not agree with us.  Our goal is to have a neighborhood park and kickball day for the younger kids in the Hartland Subdivision.  We'll have some giveaway snacks (maybe popcorn, ice cream, or snow cones?).  This will be for ages birth to 12/13.  We will be playing with the younger kids at the park (maybe face painting?) and will be playing kickball with the older kids.  We need parents for this ministry as well.  We'll set up at 5, and start the event at 6pm, and be done by 8pm.  While neighborhood parents bring their kids to this event, it would be great to have Oak Ridge parents there to start conversations with them and hopefully invite them to church.
