We are starting a brand new ministry on March 26th!
We will be going on weekly field trips during the 7pm hour of our Wednesday nights. During those times we will be visiting local areas (Cherokee Plaza, Taylor Mill/Remke's area). We want to do weekly outreach ministries for local people and businesses.
Our goal in all of this is to show students that ministry and missions are not a week retreat but a lifestyle. Through small acts of love we will be able to share and plants Gospel seeds into the hearts of our local people.
Because we are going off campus and changing our Wednesday night program we will be needing permission from each parent for their child to attend this new ministry. Tomorrow we will have permission slips available for students to bring to their parents.

Halloween Ministry!
We are having our 2nd annual Halloween Ministry this Thursday. We'll be passing out hotdogs, hot chocolate, apple cider, and CANDY!!!
We are asking all youth and parents to attend this event that will minister to kids and parents. We are going to be using this night to invite people to our church.
We are having it at Bro. Thom's house in Hartland. If you need directions e-mail him at oakridge.youth@hotmail.com
We would love to have as many teens and adults to help out with this social ministry. We'll take care of the hotdogs and buns, but we will need some drinks (for the volunteers) and candy!

Children's Fall Festival
On Sunday NIGHT, October 27th the children will be having their annual Fall Festival at church. This will be at 6pm in the children's department. We would love to have you guys help out with this event. We will have different fun activities and games stations that we need run.
At the end of the hour we will have a special worship service and message.
You are invited to wear costumes to the fall festival. I do ask that if you plan on wearing one that it is appropriate. Even if they are fake, we are asking that anything that looks like a weapon (knife, gun, etc.) not be taken to the fall festival.

Youth Halloween Ministry
This year for Halloween we will be once again having our outreach ministry. We will be in my subdivision (Hartland - By the Independence Cemetery). This subdivision will see hundreds of children and parents. We will be passing out hotdogs, hot chocolate, and apple cider.
Even with the rain last year we saw a large turnout, so expect more this year. I believe we gave out more than 150 hotdogs, and over 10 gallons of hot chocolate and apple cider.
This will go from 6-8:30 - On Halloween night (Thursday, October 31st).
This is an event that would be great for you to invite your friends to. We will need lots of people to canvas the neighborhood passing out food and drinks. We will also need people to stay at our house so we can pass out the food to the trick-or-treaters.
After its over we will have a Bible study at my house and give out some awards for best costume. Because this is a ministry we are again asking for modest, and appropriate costumes. We will be representing the church and would not want to cause a stumbling block for someone.
